As a family-owned, mobile RV repair business, managing scheduling and maintaining a work-life balance is one of the most challenging aspects. While the desire to satisfy every customer is our priority, it often comes at the expense of personal time. We, of course, are willing to stay late, past 5 PM, to finish a job because we take pride in our work. However, we also value our weekday dinner and downtime together, and the downtime we need over the weekends. Although there are occasions when we work on Saturdays to meet deadlines, we strive to carve out family time for weekend events. After all, we are visiting the area too and would like to see the local sights and attractions as well. Flexibility is key in this line of work, and we hope clients can understand and respect the need for balance between commitment to our jobs and our personal lives.
Scheduling
Scheduling can present its own set of challenges, as appointments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis at mutually agreed times. We completely empathize with customers facing a malfunctioning air conditioner on a hot day, eager for a prompt resolution. When immediate availability arises, we strive to address those urgent requests as swiftly as possible. However, it is important to note that the duration of various jobs can be unpredictable; some may take significantly longer than anticipated, while others are completed quickly. This can necessitate some adjustments to our schedule, which may result in delays or perhaps earlier arrivals. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to serve all our customers effectively. Rest assured, we are committed to providing timely assistance and will attend to your needs as soon as we can.
REPAIR SERVICE RATES
Service Fee
$75 for the first 30 miles and $2 per mile after 30 miles
We want to be transparent about our service fee to avoid any confusion. The service fee is set at $75 for the first 30 miles from our location, and it increases by $2 for every additional mile beyond that, in addition to any applicable tolls. Importantly, this fee only covers our trip to your location and there is no charge for the return journey. This is a one-time fee per job or service and you are not charged for any following return trips to complete a job. We understand that this fee can be contentious, as it may seem unfair. However, it accounts for the time and resources spent to prepare for your service, including driving time and research for necessary parts that may be required. Please note that a service fee applies regardless of whether we are already in the same RV park or area. We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide quality service.
We use Google Maps for the mileage calculations from our location to yours.
Hourly Rate
The hourly rate is $150 per hour
Our shop rate begins once the actual work is in progress. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we first allocate time for introductions and discussions regarding the issue at hand, our expectations, and to formulate a collaborative plan, all at no charge. Please note that there is a minimum charge for one hour of service.
Whenever possible, we utilize a standard flat-rate system for tasks based on an industry-standard guidebook, similar to how a mechanic or RV repair shop operates. However, certain services may not be covered by this flat-rate book and will be billed by the hour. We also provide various flat-fee services, often at a discounted rate, which are charged based on the specific job. This approach ensures transparency and fairness in our pricing.
$175 per hour for insurance and warranty claims.
This rate is simply to compensate for the extra time involved with insurance and warranty claims.
If we find other issues that come to our attention while working on your RV, we will certainly point those out to you as well. Our customers tend to appreciate when we bring things to their awareness to save on a future service call or provide insight and education from our professional experience.
Your first visit and hour
It is much preferred that you are at your location at the time we arrive so that we may fully discuss your issue and develop a plan and expectations. You may leave for a bit if you wish during the repair or service as long as you return before completion. If your campground is gated, we will need to know the pass code prior to our arrival.
As stated above, there is a minimum service fee of $75 and a one-hour minimum of $150 for your first visit, which means, $225 is owed when we show up. Bear in mind, you are not charged for any return service fees in case there is need for any returns to finish a job. Now we are not cold blooded and like to think we are more than fair. So, if all we do is flip a circuit breaker, we are not charging you the full amount of $225. Quite honestly, one of two things would happen. 1. You are charged $100 and we move on. Or 2. We offer other services to use up the one-hour minimum hourly fee.
Payment
Payment is due each day at the completion of the day's work as well as each return visit if needed. Payments accepted are cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, CashApp or Paypal.
